Frequently asked Home Information Pack (HIP) questions

How long will the HIP last?

Providing you are continually marketing your property, and you do not take the property off the market, your HIP will last for as long as it takes to sell your property.

In the first year of the HIP's life you can remove the property from the market and at a later date return the property to the market with the same HIP whatever your circumstances are.

After the first year, you can only continue to use the original, completed Home Information Pack if the house is taken off the market due to a planned sale which falls through and then is returned to the market. In this scenario it must be returned to the market within 28 days for the HIP to remain compliant.
