How can you expect to see organisations pushing standards up when there are so many. Until high standards are universally recognised as paramount. Unfortunately we have some aspects of the industry who are intent on lowering them.

As sam said, schemes such as NHER are right to focus on promoting their memmbers and what their members do. By creating and helping with new opportunities, it not only helps their guys, but themselves, its a win-win.

There do seem to be very few doing so, probably due to the expense. Not very fair that NHER does all the research etc with other schemes holding onto their coat tails. Maybe enforcement of proactive support of their members could be looked at.

Brian, you date to whisper the words honesty.........

It is a shame that no-one took the bulls by the horns in regard to honesty of certain training providers. One has gone under but there will be more mark my words. ABBE need to act.

great interview!!! be interesting to hear about the housing energy advisor role, was thinking about it be looks ever increasingly watered down.

there is no doubt we need consolidation within AS. They are
concentrating on taking market sharte from each other and worried less about their memebers and quality.

credit to NHER as they often lead the way ie recently with commercial epc research and their excellent report, seixzing the opportunity. More of this pls Brian and less of we will knock 25p of this and 10p of that as you see others doing. That is what a DEA requires to help with longevity. In actual fact it could be argued if fees were raised, we might get rid of the chaff.

Brian Scannell is probably one of the most sensible and level headed in the industry. It is good to see some straight talking. It is just a shame that Mr Scannell has not taken a much more higher profile role, say within CLG. If he had we may of seen some logiacally decision rather the ull thought through ones we have witnessed.

NHER are a good organisation and the new survey product is interesting, however it will be a great achievement if they can get any acknowledgement for it.
