I would probably class this as a plug, but maybe not as extreme as 'blatant', aplogises if offended and you have ended up with one regardless

'Complete thoughts on my blog if anyone else is interested (www.jamesdearsley.wordpress.com)'

Hi James,

Many thanks for your comments and blatant plug :)

However, some interesting points you make and well worth a read

http://jamesdearsley.wordpress.com/2010/06/17/google-property-launched-in-the-uk-but-would-it-work-in-the-overseas-market-place/

It does seem logical to further expand into europe with the functionality, though whether europe will be next on list, we will see.

As others have stated, not an amazing surprise. However I will be interested to see if they actually move this model into other markets.

I cannot see how they will be able to deal with the "overseas property" markets like Spain for example. Hundreds of agents representing one builder could be a minefield. Complete thoughts on my blog if anyone else is interested (www.jamesdearsley.wordpress.com).

Great article, thank you.

It appears as everyone will be welcome from private sellers to rightmove, to for sale by owner websites etc.

Not an entirely unexpected move, after its inception in American and Australia last year. What I find interesting is their inclusion of private sellers and how they intend to police this service.
